We provide admin login for all switches, routers, firewalls, compute hosts, storage cluster, vCenter, vCloud Director, NSX-Cluster and PDUs as well. Except if the internet connection is shared from existing internet fabric and not dedicated for your rack then you will not have access to edge circuit. As a customer you do have an option to even go for dedicated single / dual 1Gbps / 10 Gbps internet upstream circuit.
You can access CPaaS through a VPN connection to Livewire Cloud. We provide you access to IPMI network, management network and VM networks. We also have management portal that allows system admins to perform administrative task on their cloud environment.
CPaaS is available from selected datacenters of Livewire. There is around three weeks lead time to provision the required resources once we have confirmed order.
Yes, since the nature of complexity, time frame to implement and capital cost require to build something like this is very high, we ask for at least 1-year commitment for PCaaS. Otherwise it would make no sense for both customer and Livewire to invest their time and resources to build something like this for short term.
CPaaS management environments are automatically protected by an image based backup solution which is part of CPaaS cluster. Besides that customer can deploy choice of their backup and DR software to backup / replicate virtual machines. We provide integrated backup for additional monthly cost from Veeam, Carbonite, Axcient, Datto, vSPhere SRM, Acronis and Vembu.
Optional antivirus software / end point protection can be licensed and installed to protect Guest Operating Systems. We provide integrated AV / end point management from Acronis and Blackberry Cylance.
You can migrate data to Livewire by using VMware vSphere replication or a number of other supported replication solutions. For more information about migrating to CPaaS, contact Livewire Support.
Yes, CPaaS environments are deployed in an HA configuration.
The minimum required host quantity for each CPaaS is 12 hosts. We do not offer CPaaS for less than 12 hosts as the investment of networking gears, dedicated ISP etc. will not make any economic sense and would not justify the cost. In turn this will increase your cost of ownership per VM.

Yes, for CPaaS we do support adding your on-premise host to your CPaaS environment provided there is a valid low latency L2 connectivity between your datacenter and Livewire Cloud. In such cases, your On-Premise host must be activated with Livewire Cloud Vmware licenses OR you will have to use your own Vmware licenses across the board for entire vCent

Yes, you can get support for raw device mappings (RDMs) by opening a support ticket with our storage and virtualization team.
CPaaS allows customers to use other VMware products like vRealize Operations, vRealize Log Insight, vCloud Director, NSX, Vmware vSAN and Vmware Horizon View which are optional add-ons and can be billed each month based on actual consumption.
Livewire is on Vmware VCP Program with new Vmware Partner Connect. We are authorized to rent Vmware product licenses to our customers in datacenters managed by us on monthly basis on actual consumption. We generally supply these licenses along with each CPaaS cluster depending on Vmware products in your cloud architecture. Absolutely, Livewire Cloud does not restrict any product license in our managed cloud environment. You can bring in your own VCP / Perpetual Vmware License provided that entire CPaaS cluster is exclusive just for you.

Livewire is authorized Microsoft SPLA partner. We can rent you Microsoft product licenses under our SPLA agreement on monthly basis. These can be also bundled with your base cluster package depending upon size of cluster you sign for. We are also Red Hat partner and therefore can also supply with Red Hat Linux OS and application licenses. As stated above, customers can also bring in their own licenses. No. Livewire does not provide monitoring for VMs except those that are for management purpose. For more information, refer to our “Support Procedures” documents under support menu on website.
CPaaS includes the Vmware vRealize Operations Manager for performance monitoring and planning tools. vROps provides advanced reporting and forecasting capabilities, and the ability to set alerts to notify you when resources are low. These tools can be useful for optimizing resources and identifying performance bottlenecks.
Livewire can help you with the use of other monitoring software as needed. You may also deploy any RMM tool of your choice at VM level.
